All, This Saturday's fixture at Carden Park is still on although we will be at the mercy of the weather. I will contact you all by phone if the match is cancelled. I have decided to take a break from training over Christmas so our next training session will be Tuesday January 5th at 17:30 Christleton High School as normal. The groups have been decided for the Olympic Trophies Cup competition. Our group as follows: Christleton Newscene, Castrol Athletic, Vicars Cross Dynamos, FC Broughton and.........Westminster Park Lions. Training and Saturday's Fixture

All, training is on Tuesday evening 17:30 at Christleton. We have a friendly fixture against Malpas at Carden Park on Saturday morning Dec 19th. Kick-off is at 10:30 so please be there for 10:00. I will take all the boys on Saturday ( I know Philip and Christian are not available ) If anyone else cannot make it please let me know. Finally, I have an adults rainjacket ( Tog 4 ) and a Waverton rainjacket with no name on it. Both have been left after matches / training. Please check if they belong to you. Andy.

CHESTER CITY V LUTON SATURDAY DEC 5TH

All, those of you who have ordered tickets for Saturday's game at Chester City, details as follows. Collect tickets from Graham Frost at the ticket office between 14:15 and 14:30. If you are going with your children, you can buy your own ticket (£15.00) at the same time. If you are returning to collect children after the game, meet at the ticket office from 16:45. Please note that there are spare tickets for children and siblings. These can be collected on Saturday from Graham. All, We have the chance to play a friendly match against Malpas Blacks on Saturday Dec 19th. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21ST

All, this weekend's game is the rearranged fixture from last Saturday and is at home to Upton. Kick-off is at 10:30 so please be there for 10:00. SATURDAY NOV 14TH V UPTON

All, this Saturday's fixture is at home against Upton. Kick-off is at the slightly later time of 11:00 due to a high number of fixtures being played at Waverton. Please be there for 10:30. Players to sit out this game are Adam, Philip and James Maudslay. I will have application forms for the Chester trip on Saturday morning as well as at training tomorrow night for those of you who are interested. Andy.

SATURDAY'S FIXTURE NOV 7TH

All, this Saturday we are away at Westminster Park Tigers. Kick-off is at 10:30 so please be there for 10:00. Plenty of warm kit please for substitutes. Players to sit out this match are: Adam, Christian and James Maudslay. On December 5th we have the opportunity to take our team to Chester v Luton Town. If you are interested please let me know and I will email or hand you an application form. Tickets for the boys are free and if any mums / dads wish to come your tickets will be £10.00. You may remember that we had a similar day out at Chester last Christmas and it was a big success. Tickest are limited so get your order in early. I will be going and I am more than happy to look after boys if required ( parents can go Christmas shopping ). TRAINING AND NEXT FIXTURE

All, midweek training starts on Tuesday Nov 3rd at Christleton Sports Centre at 17:30 for one hour. Note that training is outside and the boys will need to wear trainers ( and shinpads of course ). Please make sure that the boys have sufficient warm kit for these sessions also. We have to pay for these sessions ourselves and the cost per session is £28 which I have to pay on the night. I understand that not all boys will be available every week so I suggest subs of £3.00 per session. Any extra cash I will reserve for training sessions or end of season awards. Our next fixture is on Saturday November 7th away to WP Tigers. Kick-off will be 10:30 so please be there for 10:00. I will confirm players to sit out this fixture on Tuesday evening. Andy.

REARRANGED FIXTURE

All, next Saturday's planned fixture against Blacon has now been rearranged FOR THIS COMING WEDNESDAY SEPT 23RD. Kick-off is at 18:00hrs and the venue is Cairns Crescent Blacon. The three players who will sit out this match are Jamie Swanton, Joe and Tom. This rearrangement has disrupted the player rota but do not worry I am keeping track of who has played and I will ensure  that everyone gets their chance during the remaining fixtures. MIDWEEK TRAINING AND NEXT FIXTURE

All, I am trying to arrange a midweek training session at Waverton whilst there is still some light in the evening. I would like to propose Tuesdays at 17:30. Can you let me know at Saturday's match ( Sept 19th ) or before if this is convenient. It is unlikely that we can get 100% attendance every week but it will give us some time to prepare for our weekend fixtures. Note that from November 3rd ( also a Tuesday ) we have a slot booked on the outdoor pitch at Christleton, again at 17:30 for one hour ). We will have to finance this ourselves each week so I would like to confirm on Saturday that we have enough numbers to pay for the pitch.

TRAINING CONFIRMATION

All, This Saturday's training ( Sept 5th ) will be at Waverton and will start at 09;00hrs. Please check your kit status and bring along any surplus tops that you may have. I hope to have some new socks and shorts to hand out. Please make sure that your rainjackets are named. For training this year I would prefer if the kids did not wear their Waverton kit.  Also, I would be grateful if you could let me know of any Saturdays when your son will not be available to play. I intend to take 10 players to each match this year ( 8 players plus 2 subs ) and I have drawn up a selection rota for the first 4 matches. I will share this with you on Saturday and explain it to the boys. I also need to bring to your attention the expectation of the League regarding behaviour of spectators at matches. Finally, a date for your diaries; I have made a block booking of Christleton Sports Hall for midweek training on Thursday nights from 17:00hrs to 18:00hrs. I know that this may not be ideal for some of you but I had to get in fast to ensure that we had a facility. The first indoor session will be on November 5th. Andy.

SEASON 2009/10

All, the fixtures for the coming season have now been published and will be on the Waverton website soon. We are in the U10 Olympic Trophies Yellow group along with Blacon, Vicars Cross and two of the Westminster Park teams. Our first fixture is at home against Vicars Cross on Saturday Sep 12th.   Our first training session will be this coming Saturday ( Sep 5th ) at Waverton. I would like to start this session at 09:00hrs if possible ( let me know if this gives anyone a problem ) I will confirm this time no later than Thursday.   Thanks for your assistance in completing all the necessary paperwork for this season and I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday. All, I have not received confirmation that our last remaining fixture is to be played. All, Due to the Waverton pitches being doubtful for Saturday I have taken up an offer from Malpas to play them on their home pitch at Carden Park. Our kick-off will be an hour later than usual - 11:30 so please get there for 11:00. We played there earlier in the season but if anyone is unsure of directions give me a call. Note that there is a game before ours so we may end up parking some distance from the pitch.
